The Greige and Gold Bathroom project is in a home built in the mid-90s. The bathroom’s footprint was large, but the layout didn’t maximize the space. A linen closet limited the size of the shower and the chair cut-out in the vanity reduced the storage space available.

Our clients wanted to make changes in the bathroom to gain more space in the shower and vanity without a complete renovation and while keeping the existing floor intact. To accomplish this goal, we removed the linen closet, expanded the shower, and replaced the vanity.

This bathroom update is a great example of how it’s not necessary to renovate every aspect of your space to achieve great results!

The original vanity had a cultured marble countertop with molded seashell sinks – a classic stamp of 80s and 90s design. The shower liner was also cultured marble, and our clients wanted to replace these with more modern materials.

We took the warm tones of the 24×24 stone-look floor tile into consideration in the new design, as it was remaining in the bathroom.

We custom-made a new vanity to fit in the same footprint as the original. Under-sink drawers and a central drawer bank were incorporated to increase storage. A new quartz countertop with light taupe veining tied the new white and gray color scheme in with the original floor tile. Our clients chose a combination of simple, clean tile for the shower, sleek geometric finishes, and a combination of brass and black hardware to perfectly merge old and new design in an overall modern space.
