Our Transitional Bathroom project took place in a Corinth, TX home built in 1999. Our clients had already updated several other areas of the home and were anxious to tackle their master bathroom. Their design style is a transitional fusion of rustic, farmhouse, and traditional, and this called for a unique approach to bathroom design.

The Thundercrest House – Before and After

The Thundercrest House was built in the late 1980s and is located in Denton, Texas. Our clients are both very creative and had already put their design skills to work renovating many areas of their home. However, the bathrooms, kitchen countertops, and kitchen backsplash remained dated and didn't flow well with the rest of the house.

Irwin Farmhouse – Before & After Part I

The Irwin Farmhouse project is especially significant for us as it is our own “new” home. It may just be our favorite project to date. While we’ve renovated for ourselves before (see our most recent project at our previous house here), we always made changes one room at a time. This time we updated the entire house at once before we moved in. That enabled us to make the whole house cohesive from a design standpoint and create a space that perfectly reflects what feels like home to us.

Family Style Galley Kitchen – Before & After

The Family Style Galley Kitchen is in a Tudor-style home built in 1920. The house had so much character, from the diamond-pane windows in the front room to the dark wood paneling throughout, but the kitchen didn't fit the stately elegance of the rest of the house. Our clients' main goal was to open the kitchen up to the surrounding rooms. They also desired to create more space in the kitchen so the whole family could be in there together, and update the design to a blend of modern style and timeless sophistication.

The Parquet Ranch – Before & After

The Parquet Ranch project sits on a beautiful large lot in a hidden gem of a neighborhood. It's near city amenities, but feels rural as trees hide it from the main road. The house itself was in fantastic shape, but didn't fit our clients' design taste. Built in the mid-1908s, many aspects of the house still felt tied to that decade. Our clients had dreams of creating a more open living space and revamping the surfaces of the home to reflect their mountain rustic style.

Over the years and through all kinds of projects, we've collected some favorite details that just seem to finish the job well. We pride ourselves in regularly paying attention to details in all projects. They are just as important to the overall finish of a space as the big items, and we believe they are often the little touches that enhance functionality for the client. Some of these details were our idea, some were requested by our clients, but all made a difference in their respective spaces. Here are our favorite details - bathroom edition!

Franklin Farmhouse – Before & After

The Franklin Farmhouse was a very fun project for us! Our clients were long-time friends who had moved back to the area after years of living out of state, and their modern farmhouse style is very similar to the style we prefer for our own home. The house is in an ideal location on a lot with plenty of elbow-room and lots of mature trees. Built in the early 1990s, the house was the perfect size for a growing family, yet felt bland and generic. Our clients' goals were to increase the functionality of the house for their family's needs while also updating the style of the home.

Little Chapel Bathroom – Before & After

The Little Chapel Bathroom project was in a home in a well-established Denton neighborhood. It had been renovated in the past, but the style did not flow well with what our client had done in the rest of her home. This guest bathroom was small, but backed up to a seldom-used closet in the entry. Our goals for the project were to reconfigure the bathroom layout to extend into the unused closet and update the entire space with tile and paint.

Coastal Kitchen – Before & After

The Coastal Kitchen project took place at a newer home (built in early 2000's) in Denton, TX. The house was in great shape, but the brown tones in the kitchen didn't match our clients' style. They desired more flow between their kitchen and living room and didn't like the bi-level island or dividing archway that split the two spaces. One main goal was to gain island space in order to make the kitchen more functional for entertaining.
